Yesterday morning our school in Bole was in feast. Flags, colours, music and of course…. many children!!!
Guests of honour for the inauguration of the Primary school were Msgr. Berhane Yesus, Archibishop of Addis Ababa, Msgr. Pier Giacomo Grampa, Bishop of Lugano (Switzerland), Msgr. Silvano Tomasi, Representant of the Holy See to the UN and our Benefactor Dr. Riccardo Braglia who, together with his family, sponsored the building of the school.
It was a simple but beautiful occasion to thank Riccardo but also to remember what Sr. Pina Riotti said in her welcome speech: “the most beautiful and lasting memorial of the goodness of God (expressed even through the generosity of the benefactors) will be written in the hearts of the children, in their life, which we hope will be a great and valid contribution not only towards the intellectual and spiritual growth of the Country but also towards the moral reconstruction of a more human and just world, towards the peace of all the people in Ethiopia and in the whole world”.
