Salesian Sisters AES

This is the beginning of a shared adventure.

We wish to share with you the richness and the beauty of our mission.

We, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, also known as the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco, who share the same passion for the education of young people according to the Preventive System, as Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello taught us.

We have been characterized by a strong commitment to communicate the Gospel to the younger generations and have witnessed to the love of Christ for the poorest young people, expressing the same passion for evangelization. We enter into solidarity with those who live in poverty and difficulty and are marginalized and without hope.

We are spiritually strengthened by frequently receiving the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist and by trusting in Mary’s motherly care for us and for those we daily encounter.  The source of all that we are, and therefore all that we do, is the heart of Christ Himself as the Good Shepherd who has merciful and compassionate love and care for each and every person we meet and accompany.  Our simple but deep prayer life, a strong community life, and a youth-centered mission, give us the strength and energy we need to face the challenges in the world today.

We are many, spread all over the world, but about fifty of us, coming from 18 different countries, live and work in three beautiful Countries of Africa: Ethiopia, South Sudan and Sudan.

Come with us and follow our journey!
