Yesterday the community of Dilla and our two volunteers from Austria, went to visit few places with the aim of spending some time together. We started with the Sanctuary of Mary Help of Christians in Mike and there the parish priest celebrated the Mass in Sidamigna. We did not understand a lot but we knew that God was there among us and that was our joy! The local sisters offered us a place to have breakfast and then we started of, towards Awassa. We stopped to visit Maranatha’ Hermitage, a quite and simple place on the Lake Awassa. It was build by an Italian Comboni Father who passed away recently. Unfortunately, presently, it is not well kept but the spot is fabulous!
We decided to have lunch close to the lake and so we went to a reserve. Before going back home…. another stop to eat icecream but when we reached the place, we discovered that there was no icecream, “only” a beautiful scenary which we enjoyed to the full accompanied by the beauty of being together!!!!
